Not an even race? You're right! The SRT8 has a base price that's $10,000 higher than an SS. The R/T is supposed to be in our class. So truthfully, Dave should have been allowed another $9,000 worth of mods to make this an 'even race'. Let's give him him headers, a Supercharger and a tune and then we'd be much closer to the 'even race' you so desperately want

Now back to that Shelby GT. That's a $9500 package on top of the GT, again putting it WAY ahead of the SS in terms of cost, and still came up .2 slower - on an 1/8th mile track! That's HUGE! Watch that ep again, see how much farther ahead he was compared to the Z? That was 1 tenth. DOUBLE that distance and that's how much Dave's SS beat the Shelby! Nice.
