They tested the tubing size of the primaries. 1 7/8's proved the best overall. 1 3/4 giving up only 2-3hp and 2" showing little better than the 1 7/8's unless going all out for big hp. As for which? It comes down to budget and materials. They all pretty much perform very close to each other. So it's a matter of what type you want.
