OzzySS, I wasn't really trying to tell anyone how to turn it off. To the best of my knowledge it can't be "turned off." I was simply pointing out the conditions it is intended to happen under. That way it could be worked around until the jumper cable is installed.
jlauber588, Good on ya. Last time I looked it up less than 3 % of all vehicles sold in America have manual transmissions in them. Funny how everyone complains about fuel mileage but the don't want to be bothered with the second cheapest way to achieve it. Gear jam'n !
