lol You crack me up. Don't take any offense by this, but I find it funny that out of all of these pics you find the smallest minute detail
To answer your question though, I don't remember seeing that spot in person. But when I look back at some of the other pics, I think the vinyl might stop just ever so slightly before the end of the hood. I'm guessing much like this pic of the stripes on the back:
I wouldn't think it just 'came short' It's probably by design. Hope that helps!
