As for line-lock being offered on the new Camaro....ummmm....not gonna happen.

I can think of quite a few reasons, but just a few are;

1. Line-lock is used for drag racing. GM, or any manufacturer for that matter, would NOT want to be seen as promoting drag racing for their vehicles, with the fear that people would be out, possibly "street racing" their new Camaro, Challenger, or Mustang. Can you imagine the sh%t that would hit the fan if someone was hurt/killed by someone street racing their new Camaro, which oh by the way comes with line-lock from the factory?

2. Consider all the people returning to their dealers, looking to repair/replace broken parts.

3. Independent rear suspensions are more suited for handling, versus drag racing.

Just a couple of reasons why I don't see line-lock available from the factory.


That's what the aftermarket is for....SLP linelock. Won't happen from GM. Moose has great points
