Oil monitoring or not, I performed the oil change myself at 1500 miles with a change over to full synthetic and installed a magnetic plug. Since then I follow the regular intervals but since it is not the DEXOS blended oil running in her I feel more comfortable going the extra mileage with full synthetic. I also poor in 4 ounces of Marvel Mystery Oil as I always have since my first new car in '92.
