My LPE twins have been bolt-on and forget about. Not a peep for 18 months. Very happy.
You have to drop the rear cradle, unbolt fuel tank straps and remove fuel tank. You can remove the fuel bucket lock ring with a hammer and punch but I brought the whole assembly to the dealer service dept and had them reinstall the lock ring (Takes 10 seconds), since it's next to impossible without the special tool for it.
Reconnect the fuel/power lines and you're done.
