Some of you are confusing all the special edition cars with the Shelby GT500...and understandibly so.

However the Shelby GT500 is a complete factory built car. It is truly a FORD SVT design with Shelby's name plastered on it. Ligenfelter and the like are more comparable with Roush, Saleen, Steeda, etc.

The true Shelby in the "tuner" sense is the Shelby GT and Shelby GT-H which are actually built by Shelby's company at Shelby facilities.

Either way I don't think it will be necessary if there is a Camaro that becomes a GT500 killer or not. The Camaro SS is taking up a nice middle ground between the Mustang GT and the GT500 in terms of horsepower and maybe price. I personally think that is a prudent place to be.

If there is a super LSA or super Z28 model, then I imagine it will come out as a 2011 or 2012 as other indicated.
