so i think i might've really jacked up something in my truck this afternoon!
it's making a clanking sound
inside the clutch housing & nothing on the outside is loose - starter, bellhousing bolts, etc are all tight. i pulled over on the interstate to re-close the door, & when merging back in, since a truck was coming up, i did a pretty hard launch & gunned it up to speed. then i let off...
...
...then came the most tear-jerking sound i've heard from my truck yet
just imagine the sound of the zip-tie prank (where you put a zip-tie around the drive shaft & it goes click click click click click click click click click click), only it's a clunk clunk clunk clunk clunk clunk clunk clunk clunk clunk & sounds like it's coming from the flywheel/clutch area. also, when it's at idle, it's creating enough drag that it pulls the rpms from about 750 to around 600.
is there any help for me?
