It should be an easy fix.
Does the front edge of the door line up with the fender top to bottom?
And from what I am reading, the door lines up at the rear edge along the body?
Generally this can be easily improved with a few adjsutments of the door striker and maybe some adjustments at the hinge.
Your dealer will take care of this, and NO if it bothers you, you shouldn't "live with it".
