Water sheeting will do nothing to remove water spots, it's a method to prevent them.
If clay didn't get them off, you likely will need to polish them off. There are chemical methods as well (ie, vinegar mentioned above, CG Water Spot Remover), but generally if clay didn't get them, the chemical methods won't either.
