The Huge road course track in New Orleans that recently opened didnt have plans for a 1/4 track, but they held an event and installed a timing system and a tree and it was a success. C
omplete with reaction time, 60ft, 1/8mi and 1/4mi.
They will be holding the events regularly in the future, and another cool part is that after you do the 1/4, it puts you straight on the track so you can do a lap after.
They charged 20$, and said that we can expect those prices in the future.

"Thank you for those that came out today. We'll be working up a date for the next event and making an announcement. Our current strip is a single lane -- we do the drag racing with a twist -- head down the 3,800ft straight making your quartermile pass but then (if you/your car can handle it), take Turn 1 and continue around the course to the shutdown area past Turn 12 -- we track your time not only in the 1/4 but also around the course... we call it a "Draggin' Lap"."
