Well, it depends.
Me, personally, the stock 5th gen SS is more than enough...but I'm also not a "car-tinkerer." If you want a project car, don't do it to a 5th gen if it's going to be your daily driver...if it's not...and you're not worried about voiding the warranty, just toy with the 5th gen
