I know that's not quite the same as a performance tune, but I know a lot of guys on here are saying that even a speedo recal tune will be treated the same way as a performance tune by GM = voided warranty.
Getting to this point with my dealership required some discussion, since they first told me that any modification would void the warranty. I don't think they even know how to recalibrate a speedometer. Once I got past the initial superficial "we know everything" barrier, they were very understanding and easy to work with. Anyway, I'm happy with the response I received and am much more comfortable now going forward with my 3.91 gear install.
