Move the louvers down close to the lid but not so low as to bump the lid as it opens and closes. Then make your marks for proper placement. I had mine completely installed before I discovered I couldn't open my trunk lid fully cause the louvers were 1/4 inch too low. The directions do not warn of that. Other than that small glitch in the installation it's been a great product.

i just got my car back - and hadn't opened the trunk yet- i'll be sweating till i get home to check hahaha - awesome.
