What you're referring to is not really "allocation".
Back in October, dealers were given a "production guide number". That was basically an
estimate of how many cars dealers would receive up through the end of the 3rd quarter. These allocation numbers that they are receiving now are done on a monthly basis and are specified for each week.
I know I've seen reports of dealers saying that they "just got extra allocation" but that doesn't really make too much sense. I guess they got confirmation from their GM rep that their production guide had gone up. There isn't some day planned out in the future where all dealers will be notified how much extra guide they'll be getting.
