Whether its stock, factory hurst, or after-market hurst, they all go in the same way and use that same "bracket" you have pictured. Hopefully you haven't taken your "bracket" out yet...its not necessary.
It might help you to go to the Hurst web-site or find it here on the forums, there is an installation video by hurst for the after market shifter.
Just pretend your factory hurst is the one in the video, and you will be fine.
