Well, I went by the book for the entire break-in period. Oil changed at 60, 500, and now 1550 miles on the ODO. Along with the oil I also changed the fluids in the rear differential, and tremec 6060 transmission.

Based on all of the metal particles, I would strongly suggest that you change these fluids around 1500 miles.

I wanted to see both the big pieces and the little pieces so I strained the fluids with clean white T-shirts. The rear diff. has magnets on both the drain and fill plugs. Both of them had large blobs of metal shavings on them. I took a picture of a plug after it was cleaned for comparison. The diff fluid looked like a liquid metal due to all of the small particles. New, the fluid is perfectly clear. The T-shirt had quite a bit of large shavings too. Definately NOT something you want to keep running on IMHO.

The Tremec wasn't as bad. Very few large particles. The fluid, however looked like I had a tub of RJT paint.
