Yah, this is the same sort of problem I am finding with the factory remote start project. I think the factory is pumping out so many 2SS's and 2LT's that the parts suppliers can't keep up and that is why the part simply isn't available. The 1SS has different software version than 2SS and so the car has to be programmed. I still think most dealers have no idea how to do this.
