I was wondering if removing your stock ECM and replacing it with a modified ECM would work to save the warranty. That is, make all of the mods to a "spare" ECM. If you have a warranty issue, reinstall the stock ECM before taking the car to the dealer. Will the dealer know the ECM has been out of the car?

Of course if you have a supercharger or something else major, this is a mute point.

Just a thought.
