I did quite a lot, but I also did it because I had not cleaned the wheels off the car since I bought her in march.
Step 1. Took them off scrubbed down with wash and wax.
Step 2. Took a tooth brush and got scrubbing on all the nooks and crannys these 45th ann wheels have.
Step 2. Took them inside==> dried them off then used a microfiber on them.
Step 3. I Used alcohol to dry up the paint surface
Step 4. Taped off the rim
Step 5. I then Used PPG wax and grease remover just in case. This is the stuff that they use right before painting any car surface in any body shop, etc.
Then I plastidipped them! It took quite a while, but at the same time I was doing other things to my car so I would spray a coat, work on something else, spray a coat, work on something else.
I used 3 coats and about 4 cans in total.
