Removing "SS" emblems

No, this is not another "how do I do it" threads. I have a 2SS/RS in Rally yellow that I'm looking to remove all chrome on (except the black chrome wheels, but they may get replaced someday too). The bowties and tailight bezels will be replaced soon (care of Gary's Customs), as will the chrome "camaro" fender emblem. I will have black rally stripes painted on in early August too (the wider & longer "bumblebee" stripes). The only thing left on the exterior with any chrome are the "SS" emblems (grill & rear decklid).

This raises the question: Do I remove the "SS" emblems altogether, or do I simply replace with black versions? And if I replace them, do I go straight black or a black with yellow inserts? I know the pure black one would get lost in the front grill so I'm tempted to remove it and instead put "SS" fender emblems instead.

I like the idea of the "ghost" car where noone knows what's under the hood but me, but the camaro purist in me says they need to be there.

Thoughts?
