yea man, i just got my license a year ago, and i got a an 86 berlinetta, v6, and im used to tht. then wen i "test drove" my uncles 454 69 camaro, i wasnt ready for all tht power!! it was crazy! so good plan, good dream (its mine too lol), and good luck!!
