yes... then after the "flutter" you feel it switch to V8 Mode and you accelerate smoothly. the car "hesitates" to accelerate because it's "hesitating" to shift over to V8 Mode. i was fed a line at the dealer saying that this was just the car trying to get better mileage.
i regularly drive a GMC Sierra with AFM. i can hear the exhaust note change when AFM kicks in - it doesn't bother me and isn't very noticeable. i don't feel any "flutter" or "hesitation" to change from V4 Mode to V8 Mode. that change is instantaneous.
