Make sure you hit the Blue Ridge Parkway coming through the mountains of Virginia and North Carolina. It will clearly be some of the best scenery you have ever seen and is a very unique place.
It also affords some amazing picture opportunities and if you go far enough you can even run on a stretch of one of the most famous roads in America.....the Tail of the Dragon. Highway 29
