Not a true straight pipe... You still have cats and resonators, so it isn't as loud as you might think.
It does sound as good or better than most axle back after-market.
All in all, the only advantage is it sounds better... and disadvantage is deceleration popping (if you don't like that... I for one count that as another advantage...)
