I asked Andy at ADM about using a melling on my 417 and he said he always uses the stock GM pump on all his builds. He said it basically comes down to who installed the pump and cam or whatever build was going on at the time so he put a factory GM pump back on mine and I will be running 15w50 mobil1 in my new build.
