I have the louder version V1 and didn't ever hear any drone....but my advice would be this. If you decide on the V2, give it a few hundred miles to break in. Then go onto the highway (or wherever you drive that may cause drone) and see what rpms activate the drone (if any). You can always get the j-pipes to cancel out any drone.
