I keep hearing people say “nothing GM makes can out performer the "Flagship Vette”. BIG TIME BS… In almost every decade there has been one if not more than one car that could out performer the Vette in specific areas. I think most people forget about the 80’s Buick Grand National and Pontiac Firebird GTA with there Turbocharged V6 that could run 12’s off the showroom floor. Oh, and lets not forget about the Cyclone and Typhoon of the 90’s. All these examples were dubbed “Corvette Killer”…

As for aerodynamics, you might be surprised that the new Camaro may have better aerodynamics than the C5. If I am not mistaken the 3rd Gen Camaro had better aerodynamics that th 4th Gen in wind tunnel tests.
