Probably has to do with GM has lots of vehicles they need to get the 10 speed in that are currently using the 8 speed. They are likely scaling up and making changes to those models to accept the new A10. But as far as I know, Ford has only plans to use it in the F150s and Mustangs. That could be why right there. I guarantee the bean counters want to squeeze as much life out of the 8L90s before they are completely replaced.

The A10 will almost assuredly be a part of that. Eight new models will have it in GM for next year.
