They run the 24 hour test over a couple of days. When the car comes off track they can change tires and brake pads and top off fluids. If any repair is required, the test starts over.

From what I can gather, during the MFG week, there is a professional courtesy at work to only shoot in car video after 4 or 5 o'clock. This allows all MFGs to test yet to be released vehicles without concern of of them showing up on an in car video during the bulk of track hours. If you run after a certain time in the afternoon you know there will be video.
