I was just at a body shop the other day, the latest and greatest technology now involves one snapping a photo of the material needing repair. The computer reads the photo in a specific are then selects the paint or dye in this case needed to match the panel then spits out a perfectly match mixed stick of dye... soooo freakn cool! They simply apply the dye then buff out using a high speed polisher wheel.

They fixed my damaged seat this way last week as well, soo impressed!! The computer mixes the dye perfectly!
