I have the hurst and a friend of mine has the MGW. I have driven both as well as him. We both have come the the same conclusion. The hurst is more positive feeling. Shifts are quicker at WOT and 2 to 3 shift is just a slam and your there. MGW is smoother, less positive feeling, less noisy, longer shifts, never misses a shift but takes longer to make. WE both feel that the hurst makes for a better shifter for drag racing ( fast hard quick shifts) and the MGW is a better daily driver (smooth quiet and still shifts much better than stock). I am sure everyone has they brand preference but this is from driving both back to back to back. Oh yeah ( my hurst looks better...LOL)
