NORMAN, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma Sooners indefinitely suspended wide receiver Jaz Reynolds Wednesday for comments he made on Twitter.
Just after a campus shooting took place at the University of Texas at Austin Tuesday, Reynolds tweeted "Hey everyone in austin, tx………kill yourself #evillaugh."
In a press release, Stoops said, "...Our rivalry with Texas will not come at the expense of dignity and respect. We have great concern for what happened in Austin and I am incredibly disappointed that someone connected with our team would react so callously..."
What this story fails to tell you is that Jaz Reynolds has not played in a game yet this season. Suspending him is like suspending a kid who is on the injured reserve list. Had this been Ryan Broyles who said this, Sooner Nation would be all up in arms over Stoops suspending him. But we all know Stoops wouldn't suspend his best player on the team, days before the biggest game of the year. Class act OU!!!
