We place our kit where we do for ease of installation and clearance between the firewall and blower. We have also tried it in the back of the lower manifold and have seen no difference in readings. You do have to modify the fuel rail though
Our kit is also easy to install, or un-install if someone would ever want to do so. I would not be so comfortable with the Whipple kit above as the sensor element could break/off and get into the engine.
We sell these with or without our blower kits and will be value adding it to those who buy the blower directly from us
