SORRY, I didn't see you were responding to the 4th Gen question! My bad...
For the 3.6L DI, however:
Crankshaft: Forged steel
Connecting rods: Sinter forged steel
Main bearing caps: Sintered steel
also:
- Cast aluminum structural oil pan stiffens the cylinder block structure and reduces noise
− Oil jets cool the pistons, while polymer-coated skirts reduce noise and friction
