Was this on one pass? Did you use about 3-4 pea size drops on your pad? 4" pads are small for doing a panel and will heat up and gum up faster then a 5.5 tp a 6.5 " pad. When using on a bumper you will notice that the area your polishing will heat up a little faster but just continue polishing moving slowly and making sure your pad is clean ( pad conditioning brush ) and not clog up because is will cause youto put more swirls and scratches back on.
