Yeah, but I agree with ViperTomcat, that won't lead to sales today.

The Camaro did have a lot of hype, but I tend to think it was the ability to deliver on the hype that put it where it is right now. Obviously the convertible option will be a known quantity as far as performance, but the Z28 still needs to live up to the hype or it won't sell well (especially at it's price).

So I think there are people who are planning on getting the convertible already, but folks are only considering the Z28 right now.

You're right that interest is good, I just don't see it converting to sales unless the Z28 stands out like the Camaro did. And of course, if the Z28 does perform up to expectations, then watch out.
