You've all seen many dealers are asking thousands over MSRP for one of their Camaros from the initial allocations. Other dealers are declining to sell their allocations, as they feel they will be able to get many thousands over MSRP once they have the cars in their showrooms come March and April of 2009.
Please realize that even if all Chevy dealers agreed to sell at MSRP and nothing over, then there would be a huge flood of people doing the very same thing as the individual running that eBay listing. Instead of struggling dealers making a better profit for the few months demand exceeds supply, many opportunists would be purchasing Camaros at MSRP just to be able to re-sell them for thousands over MSRP.
