if you mean polishing the exterior, it would be pretty time consuming. it is fairly rough cast. you would have to hit it with like 80 grit to take the texture off, then start sanding, it would probably take 16 man hours to get it looking real good.
that's why i decided to paint mine.
i polished some headers on my motorcycle, 14 hrs it took me!! and that was fairly smooth stainless steel to begin with. and for a two cylinder!!
