Hey guys, I posted this in the dragstrip section but since I have a ZL1 I will try here also...
I tried my C6Z drag setup 18x10.5 c5z rear wheel with MT ET II 315/30/18. Every check engine light there is went off even abs, emergency brake and power steering EVERY ONE OF THEM... I think that my Z06 setup was WAAAY too short for the ZL1 (25.5" tall vs 28.4" stock). What would be the best size for gearing and traction while fitting my c5z rims. Without setting off the computer's sensors???
The next tallest MT is the 305/35/18 at 26.4" . Also a NT05r 285/40/18 at 27.09" tall...
I know that both MT and Nitto have options on a 18" wheel @28.5-28.9" tire but that would not help by actually adding gear...compared to stock...
Any opinions and advice is welcome. I didn't feel comfortable going through the traps with no power steering and the rear brakes not working right...
