For anyone interested in knowing the feasability of this install...
I had a Viper 5901 installed, with the SmartStart Modual added to it.
The install works perfectly fine, no loss of functionality. The installer used an iDataLink Bypass Modual to bypass the PassKey III System. Apparently, the iDataLink Bypass Modual does not bypass the PassKey III system directly. It does require that you relinquish a KeyFob to be installed into the car for the system to work. (I was sooo not happy about this).
P.S. Those waiting for a DEI Bypass Modual. I was told that DEI bypass moduals have a high failure rate. Not sure how true that is, but just putting it out there for you guys to know.
