You may be right, BUT can the ZL1 keep up the pace lap after lap reliably without overheating? A single lap is not what a track dedicated car is about.

Mustang GT500 overheats the brakes after only one lap at Laguna Seca. That one lap may be fast, but the car is worthless for a track rat. A recent track event saw a novice overheat the brakes on his GT500, and balled up the car into a barrier
