Just a question,
What happens when those same smart people work on improving the power and efficiency in a V8 engine. Is it possible to concieve that they can engineer a V8 that produces more power at the same fuel consumption of a V6?
All things being equal (including smart engineers), a V8 will produce more power than a V6, and a V6 will always be more fuel efficient than a V8.
Ok maybe not always, I guess someone could make a 700ci V6 that would consume more fuel than a 350ci V8
