most likely has nothing to do with your tires. Call OnStar and see what Check Engine Light (CEL) codes they're pulling up. Ask to speak to a technician. If you have a crank shaft position sensor P0355 or something like that, then it's most likely a wiring issue.

There's also another document that's related to v8's specifically, but basically says the same thing. OnStar TECHNICIAN should be able to look this up for you during normal business hours.
