Got this email late last night from my dealer (just what I was waiting for):
"I am contacting you to let you know that Chevrolet is sponsoring an
Opening Day Camaro Event at the Indianapolis 500 on Saturday May 14th.
There will be a total of 100 Camaro's participating in this event. Each
dealership has a very limited number of spots available. We will fill our
spots very quickly based on our response last year. I don't have all the
details at this time but I wanted to let you know as soon as I found out.
I know there will be a ceremonial lap around the track and then all the
cars will be parked on Hulman Blvd. Everyone will be able to look at all
the cars on display much like a car show. You will be provided with a
light lunch and will be welcome to stay all day. Please reply to this
email as soon as possible if you are interested since we only have eight
spots available. When my spots are full I will start a waiting list for
last minute cancellations. Thank you for your business and I look forward
to hearing from you!"
