I'll probably embarrass myself but I'd love to go in Oct. August is HOT. Warranty shouldn't be a huge problem from talking with a friend at a Chev dealer here locally. Jordan and my friend told me the same thing. "Unless the problem is directly related to a mod, the warranty will still cover things."
