I am 5'10" and a muscular built 220lbs. I have had factory Recaros in two other cars and loved them. I took one of the cars on a couple of short road trips, longest being 8 hours one way with no issues or discomfort. As you stated they may not be for everyone but I won't think twice about ordering them in my 1LE as that is one of the 2014 selling points for me.
