Our club all uses hand-helds on our cruises. I had my CB mounted under my seat in the Jeep. The problem you run into is being able to hear the speaker. I bought a remote speaker (actually just used an old computer external speaker) and plug into the CB. You could also mount it in the glove box if you have a separate speaker.
