If you are going to do a blower I would hold off on the converter if you go w/ a roots/ screw style as they make so much torque down low it may be impossible to hook w/ a converter and a positive displacement blower. Now if you go w/ a centrifical that makes power higher in the rpm range then a 2800 converter would probably be ideal.
